My son got married in the Finnstown House yesterday and the happy couple & guests could not have asked for more. The staff were so helpful and were willing to do anything to help the happy couple, our families, friends & guests to make this a wonderful & extremely joyous occasion. The gardens offered a beautiful setting for photos and the lovely nooks and crannies in the hotel made for some lovely, relaxed pictures. The wedding was in the hotel itself, and from the previous day, when many guests arrived through to the evening after the wedding, the staff did everything in their power to make everyone feel welcome and relaxed. Overall it is a fantastic hotel. We could not have asked for better. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thanks to all the staff who gave us such a memorable day - reception staff, bar & restaurant staff, room cleaning staff & especially the events manager, who was constantly at hand to ensure the brides wishes were realised.

Wedding 6th October 2012

I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say thank you very very much from both myself and Graham for all the help, support and service on the day of our wedding.

Every single guest raved about everything, from the arrival to the residents bar. Right from the minute we booked with Edwina, then finalised details with Vera and Silvano the week before and then Silvano and Miroslaw on the day itself, you guys were just brilliant.

The food was amazing and it kept on coming, the bar staff were fantastic and dealt with the, literal, queues really well.

Given the chance to do it again, we wouldnt change a thing and for that we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us having the best wedding day possible.

You made it perfect guys. In 4 short months you fulfilled our dreams and helped us have a wedding day that everybody loved! Special Thanks to Silvano, he went out of his way to make sure our wedding menu was perfect and to the staff who delivered the meal with class.

Wedding 26/5/12

I attended the Bergin / Hegarty wedding reception at Finnstown Country House Hotel. The food and service was second to none, what wonderful courteous and friendly staff you have there, the bedrooms are also superb.

I must say it was like a fairytale, when you come through those Finnstown gates it was like stepping into the Secret garden. I would recommend Finnstown House to all, for a quiet break, but particularly for a wedding reception.

I must say it was the best wedding reception I ever attended.

“Brilliant wedding venue” - Reviewed 24 March 2012

Just wanted to thank all the staff at Finnstown Country House Hotel for the great way in which they looked after us at our wedding on the 23rd March. We had a brilliant day, the food was beautiful and our guests absolutely loved the hotel. The grounds were wonderful for the photos. A special thanks to Silvano who was friendly and professional and put us at our ease in the run up to the big day. I would recommend Finnstown House to any bride who is looking for a beautiful, elegant yet relaxed wedding. You won't be disappointed!

“Great hotel, staff is absolutely brilliant” - Reviewed 14 March 2012

We got married here on 02.03.2012. We picked this hotel since we loved the country feel to it and we wanted something a bit different. From the moment we set our feet in there for the first time we just knew: this had to be it. Originally we went for dinner and were really impressed with the beautiful dining room, the friendliness of the staff and the great food. We stayed overnight the night before the wedding too and the rooms are big and comfortable. Very clean and modern with a twist of the old times, for the wedding itself we can only give the best reviews, the grounds are stunning, the staff was absolutely brilliant and the food was delicious. All the guests complimented the food. Little extras were no problem at all. Everyone was impressed with the hotel itself, the driveway to the hotel brings you into a different world and it's easy to forget that you are still very close to Dublin. Which it really was, the service was great, everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect day. Which we did, we would like to thank everyone for making our day really special and special thanks to Silvano and Edwina for all the help. We are already planning to stay there again in the near future.

“Amazing hotel for a wedding” - Reviewed 29 September 2011

We got married in August and had our reception in Finnstown House, and I can't fault one thing about it. It was absolutely perfect, down to every detail. The staff were amazing, no problem with the fact that we were delayed about 40 minutes due to my father in law's late arrival at the ceremony, meaning the dinner was delayed, but they made no deal of it which we really appreciated. The food was superb, really delicious, each course served in quick succession, and the wine glasses were always full. It was perfect. They even went to the trouble of going to a pub across the road to buy a case of rum when we finished what they had in the residents bar! The layout is perfect, with an adjoining room to the reception for when people want to talk rather than dance, with plenty couches and another bar. When the residents bar closed at 4am they allowed us to stay in the room and continue the sing song until we were ready for bed. We also reserved 2 sections of the cellar bar downstairs on the following day as most guests stayed the second night, we had a buffet dinner and again the staff were brilliant, making sure there was enough food, eager to help with anything we wanted, even bringing down sandwiches for us later in the evening. There was nothing they wouldn't do for us. We are so grateful, the hotel is perfect for what we wanted, it's private, small, and cosy and set on lovely grounds away from the road, we may as well have had the whole place to ourselves, and everyone was more than happy with their accommodation. We could not have imagined it going better. A massive thank you to the manager and all the staff, it was a weekend we'll definitely never forget. Even after all that rum! Jane & Vinny

The lead up was just great, with the attention to detail, and the "can do" attitude.
 
The team during the Drinks Reception, the Meal, and the afters was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, the service friendly and efficient. All of our guests complimented the meal, saying that it was the best wedding they have been at, which added to an already special day for both of us.

We just wanted to say thanks for all your help at our wedding on April 1^st. From the minute we met Edwina to discuss Finnstown as a possible venue to the moment we checked out of the hotel we experienced nothing but first class service, attention to details and a genuine commitment to make our day unforgettable.

We thought we had negotiated a great package but when we consider the quality of the meal, superb decoration of the ceremony room and the reception tables, not to mention the friendly, accommodating, not a problem attitude of every staff we met from the reception to the catering, room service, bar and admin staff, we got a package that was priceless. You were all brilliant in seeing through every detail and to making the most nervous groom in the world feel confident in the planning for the big day.

Thank you all so much and we hope to see you all again. Infact we are going to make it a tradition by celebrating our anniversary each year in Finnstown
